Holy War: Is God Guilty of Genocide?

In the book of Joshua, the Israelites were commanded by God to utterly destroy the inhabitants of the land which God gave His people to possess. These passages have often led people to accuse God of the same kind of genocide committed by men like Stalin, Hitler, and Pol Pot. But is this a fair comparison? How should Christians understand these accounts, and what can we learn from them? In this sermon, Ryan Fullerton answers these questions from the Scriptures, and directs our gaze back to the God who sovereignly rules over His creation with justice, patience, and steadfast love on behalf of His chosen people.
